Kawaii – Translations of kawaii can include adorable, precious, lovable, or innocent.
-Wikipedia
The word “kawaii” is a Japanese term for “cuteness” that the culture has embraced in almost all aspects of social life. Kawaii translations of every day objects are prevalent throughout the society making otherwise mundane items approachable, lovable and more tolerable. Cute is everywhere and it makes everything in life a little easier to bear.

Meet Jessica Okui:

You could call me a connoisseur of kawaii (cute). I love just about all things Japanese, the food, crafts, toys, etc. In my spare time you can find me tracking down the latest craft books from Japan or searching for new items for my Re-ment collection.
I’ve been blogging for four years now on Zakka Life where I share craft projects, many inspired by the Japanese culture.
