These are called Cubees, made by the Japanese company Takara. Apparently they open up and make a little animal noise, and when they’re connected, they’ll sing a song.

The Takara site they link to isn’t up anymore, so you’ll have to search for “cubees” to find more info.
I have nine of them, the ones pictured plus other farm animals and a few Disney characters. They do in fact sing little electronic songs, together or in harmony. The little flaps that are their faces flip up and down while they sing. They eat little button cell batteries like CRAZY, though.
